Ms. Sanyal is former CEO and chairman of Royal Bank of Scotland, India. Ms Sanyal is a board member Pradan, an Indian NGO that empowers women through entrepreneurship and also empowers children facing adversity. She is also on the board of Jaihind College, Indian Liberal group, a member of national committee at CII and FICCI. She has already involved in different organization in India and invited as a guest speaker in different global seminar. Sanyal graduated in commerce (B.Com.) from Sydenham College Mumbai in 1982 with an MBA from INSEAD, France in 1983 and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2006. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (UK).

Ms. Sanyal is a member of National Committee of Economic Policy of Aam Admi Party (AAP). She has contested for for Lok Sabha Election. She has already spoke in Climate Summit in Copenhegan, Swedish Agency Economic and Regional growth, women of the future summit in the UK, Asian Institute of Finance, Kuala Lumpur, Nikkei Summit for Asian Women Leaders, Tokyo Global Competitiveness Summit, Seoul, Korea, The AIDIA Annual Economic Diplomacy Conference, Nepal.
