AIDIA organized a roundtable discussion on 'FDI Sources, Credit Ratings & Nepal's Economic Prospects' on 7 December 2025. The interaction focused on Nepal’s investment landscape, credit ratings trajectory, and the opportunities emerging from shifting global financial currents. The session was a resounding success, bringing together senior banking leaders, media, and economic analysts.

 

H.E. Calvin St. Juste, Special Envoy for Investment, Development, and International Business Relations at the Office of the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, graced the event as the keynote speaker. He urged the nation to pivot urgently toward equity-based investment and regulatory reforms highlighting that the Era of free money ends after Nepal's LDC graduation.

 

The meeting had a discussion on tax competitiveness, labor policies, and the necessity of distinguishing competitive tax policy from illicit financial practices.
